Arrived in Kamloops yesterday, this is the first big city since leaving Vancouver so pretty excited to get some good food and take a couple days to chill. There is plenty around to stock up and do any repairs we may need to do. I never planned on getting any nice accommodation, so I camped again last night. Found a great spot looking back over the lake and the skyline of the city. Had a campfire and made some fresh popped popcorn and custard with strawberries.

This morning I woke and head towards to a little park near the center of the city. I was happy to discover I had arrived for the second day of the Kamloops International Busking Festival, buskers form all over the world brought together to perform in a yearly competition. A great surprise as I had nothing planned for the day. It was funny, while on the bike I would always plan out epic rest days full of activities and exploring however, it normally ends up just with chilling and eating. Find a nice spot with a nice view to read and camp was what was most appealing to me on rest days. Of course there are always things to be done like restocking food and repairs, but tackling them early in the morning allows me to really enjoy the day.

I leave again tomorrow heading for Barriere, excited to see what is instore.
