Had another day of cycling into head winds, days are begining to seem endless. For the first time on the trip I look forward to just getting off the bike and going to bed. Each evening I have to push myself to make food and do all the necessary chorus before sleeping - cleaning clothes, washing, packing for tomorrow etc. All such simple things, but I feel that can be the struggle, everything is quite simple but it is constantly doing and never forgetting. If I go to bed with out doing my nightly task my day is ruined tomorrow. Something so small will grind away at me - "You couldn't even do basic hygiene before bed, and know you expect to take on 120km. You didn't even eat dinner."

I quickly learnt it was best to stick to ridged routine rather than battling against my self for the day.

Brandon was a huge surprise. I had not realized how large it was. It was exactly what was need, Walmart for some cheap groceries and plenty of coffee shops where i can work on my site and catch up with friends and family. I took 2 days in Brandon camped both nights but was able to find public showers to clean up. Like always laundry was the first thing I sought out in a city/town, the joy of getting into a clean sleeping bag and having clean clothes could make or break a day. Seems on the prairies self help in the smallest ways go the longest way.

On day 2 I stumbled across a car show of cars from all styles and years. It seemed to be a big gathering for everyone in the town and definitely a heavily anticipated event as the young boy races to the retired war vets take out the most prized toys.
