Today I had my rest stop at the Saskatchewan River Crossing one of the big view points on the Icefield Parkway Road. Spent an hour hiking around the trails and found a spot for lunch. It is amazing to be able to stop and see such spectacular sites each day. After lunch I read for half an hour and got back on the road. Still climbing through the Rockies so it is still very difficult, but just taking it easy and enjoying the scenery. The next stop is Bow Summit and Peyto lake a spot I have been looking forward to the most. Just under 40km away but more 750m of climbing to get there and is currently 33 degrees. Will have to see what is in store.
