Spent 3 days with friends on the Manitoulin Islands. We camped in a couple of different spots on the islands. The first night was out back, we found a great place by the river and on the second we got a great deal on a local campsite. The kids provided a chaufer service on the quad bike back and forth to the washing area when the sun went down. :) :)

Ate lots of great food and drinks. Was great to chat and tell stories of the trip, it wasn't until I began chatting to others that I begin to remember so many things I had forgotten already.

Ontario has continued to surprise me; I was told not to underestimate the stretch through Ontario for both its steep hills and beautiful scenery. I think I was just too focused on BC and Alberta as I had never been. Ontario is just littered with rivers and lakes and amazing National Parks. Ontario was the longest Province but seem the shortest with so much to see with such little expectations.
We were originally picked up form Espanola, so before leaving our friends we grabbed some breakfast and got dropped back to the same point we got pick up from. Even though we have driven through the islands I am still excited to cycle it. I know it will be a totally different experience on the bike. But of Course the next 2 days was the worst storm I had seen in the longest time. And to top it off it was Canadian Thanksgiving so nothing was open. We had to cycle through the storms to make sure we made the ferry, we were already a little behind schedule. Everything was numb and all i could think about was how we would be sitting on a warm ferry in 2 days and how crazy we were not to take the lift the Ferry with our friends that returning back to Toronto. But we didn't and we made to the ferry on time, even a little to spare to grab a beer. I didn't have any battery on my phone for the 2 days of the storm but got a chance to charge it before getting on the boat and you can see the storm jut blowing over.

Got the bike typed up and got settled in for an enjoyable crossing
